What are the preorder options?

We’re really excited about the preorder options for the third printing of The Conflict Beautiful. From great deals on standard sets, to individual books, and being able to offer printed marbled page edges for the first time, we think there’s something here for everyone.

What’s the difference between hand-dipped and printed marbling?

Marbling is a method that dates back centuries, in which a colorful marbled pattern is applied to the page edges on a book before it is bound into the hardcover.

During the preorder campaign for the third printing of The Conflict Beautiful, we’re very excited to offer two marbling options for you to choose from.

Who is Lucy McGrath?

We're so honored to be working with Lucy McGrath to create the marbling on the third printing of The Conflict Beautiful. Lucy is a renowned master marbler, and the founder of Marmor Paperie in London. She also literally wrote the book on marbling

What are the add-ons?

We are offering some really good deals on products that were designed to perfectly complement The Conflict Beautiful, but these prices are only available when also preordering one of the items at the top of this page.

Can't keep it on my shelf before....

I believe I have purchased 5 complete sets of the Conflict series and the Light series. When people see them, they are so appreciative of having their own sets! When they are admired, I give them the sets. What a joyous experience for the giver and the receivers❣️
I wish individuals on limited budgets could build their set over time. I know I read Desire of Ages before the other volumes; pay as you go may not be cost effective for the publisher. It's just a thought....
Another thought would be to include an annual reading schedule with every volume.
Thank you for creating these beautiful volumes- a feast for the soul and the eyes❣️🙏

Beautiful books but wish they werent edited!

Beautiful books but I find myself going back and reading the original versions instead of these edited versions. Therefore, these have become a fixture on my bookshelf for aesthetic purposes.

I wish they weren’t edited - its like taking the liberty to edit C.S. Lewis books. I do appreciate the honesty and exhaustive list of edits. Maybe people can be directed to another medium like the movie Tell the World or Lineage Journey if the books are a difficult read. I think people will find that the original writings actually improve their reading comprehension and writing skills.

Thank you for making time to leave this review! While we certainly appreciate your perspective on this, one of our goals was to not only create an heirloom quality edition, but to also make these books more accessible to a modern audience while still retaining most of the original language Ellen White uses (we also really appreciate expanding our vocabularies while reading her books!). The vast majority of the copy edits came from updating the KJV passages to NKJV, but we did take the liberty to also update select words and phrases that we believe create roadblocks and potential confusion for modern readers—an example of this is updating the word ‘intercourse’ to ‘interaction’. I’m not sure if you’ve taken time to read through these books, but if not I would encourage you to do so. Our lead editor (who has done a lot of work for the church) has said these books read in almost an identitcal way to the original versions.

Seem great!

I’ve only read a couple chapters so far. As a dyed-in-the-wool bibliophile, I love the feel of the books. They are beautiful . The pages are not too thick or too thin. My highlighters do not bleed through nor my fine liners. Just like they don’t in my interleaved Bible. There is space for small notes off to the side as well. Readability is good for me, but I just need reading glasses and not large print yet. So overall, wonderful reading experience!

Amazingly Beautiful

These are by far the most incredible and beautiful books I own! Wish I could buy them for the whole church!
Only critique I have is the book mark frays if you just look at it.

High Quality

I am always reading Ellen G White books from my church library and someone at church noticed this and got me this set as a gift. I was overjoyed when I first laid my hands on this set. These are such high quality books and are so beautifully crafted, would highly recommend!
